This grove is given to the State of California for the preservation of these ancient trees by Mr. and Mrs. Jesse H. Metcalf of Rhode Island.
 
Erected 1942.

Location. 41° 45.942′ N, 124° 7.764′ W. Marker is near Crescent City, California, in Del Norte County. It is on Howland Hill Road, on the left when traveling east.
