English:
This house was completely destroyed during the "Great Fire" of 1913. The owner Dr. Barolet rebuilt the house and continued to practice medicine here until his death in 1927. He was just 65 years old.

Due to his memorable human qualities and professional competence, Dr. Barolet's reputation has become part of the local folklore transmitted from generation to generation within the community.

Dr. Barolet and his wife had many children who, unfortunately died at a young age. Their eldest son died at 27 years of age of the Spanish Flu that ravaged the country in 1919. Their daughter Anne-Marie was more fortunate and was the church organist for 60 years. She died at the ripe old age of 89, in 1981.

His wife, Azilda Martin, was widowed for 50 years and passed away at a venerable age of 104.

Dr. Barolet was a pioneer of our community. His house is now a Bed and Breakfast, a most appropriate way to commemorate his contribution.
