University of Missouri-St. Louis in Normandy in St. Louis County, Missouri — The American Midwest (Upper Plains)
UMSL Commons
Dedicated to the founders of UMSL the residents of the Normandy area, whose generosity and foresight in acquiring the old Bellerive Country Club made this campus possible.
The clubhouse, which stood on this site, was the University's first home.
With deep appreciation to these founders and to the many alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends of the University who have made this special place possible, we dedicate the UMSL Commons this 29th day of April, 1979.
Erected 1979.
