1. The Wadsworth Barn Marker
Inscription. Jeremiah Wadsworth was Commissary-General in the Continental Army. His house which stood at the present site of the Wadsworth Atheneum was the meeting place for many leaders of the American Revolution, among them Washington, Lafayette, and Rochambeau. The horses of these visitors were stabled in this barn. The Friends of of Hartford were instrumental in moving this historic structure to Lebanon, Connecticut, in 1994, where it is maintained by the Daughters of the American Revolution.
 
Erected 1964 by The Travelers Girls and Mens Clubs.
