10. Front of the 121st Pennsylvania
In the afternoon of July 1, the 121st Pennsylvania was the left most infantry regiment in the Federal lines. To their front was the sloping ground down to Willoughby Run. When Pettigrew's Confederate Brigade advanced, the 52nd North Carolina turned around the left flank of the 121st, turning the Federal lines.
