1. John T. Haddox Marker
Inscription. One of the early merchants of the area, Mr. Haddox also incorporated real estate and insurance matters with his business. He was the agent of E.J. “Lucky” Baldwin in land sales. Served two terms as Justice of the Peace (1881 and later in 1888). Also held the appointed position of Postmaster of El Monte from 1881 to 1887.
