Each person has his own idea of what is ideal and no one girl could possible represent America's ideal, 'Nor do I feel that Miss America is the 'average' American girl....In my opinion, Miss America is a girl who is talented, intelligent, and pretty, and who has the desire and determination....It is a title of which I am extremely proud."
