Inscription.  The oldest documented burial at Savannah (1853); this is the 9-year-old stepdaughter of John Guess, one of the original pioneers of the area. Mary Alice was the daughter of John’s wife, Harriet (Holyfield) and her first husband, Andres Rogers.
