1. Lake Montesian Marker
Inscription.  A seven-acre man-made lake built with funds donated by residents and friends of the community. The lake lies in part of the Old Monticello Mill Pond, and is watered by springs and an artesian well.

Marker is mounted beneath the tall, vertical "Monticello" sign, in a pull-out on the east side of the highway overlooking Lake Montesian. Touch for map.
