1. Herr House Marker

Inscription. Three quarters of a mile south on the side road is the stone house built in 1719 by Christian Herr, son of Hans Herr, founder, in 1710, of the first Mennonite community in this area. It is the oldest building this far west in Pennsylvania.

Erected 1971 by Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
