Hamilton Jones House. . Hamilton Hill Jones (1844-1916) built this farm house from locally sourced lumber, principally oak, ca. 1871. When he gave up farming to establish a mercantile business in 1891, his son, Judson, took over the farm and lived here until his death in 1938. When the home was in danger of demolition for a road widening project. It was saved by Donald and Lynn McCluskey, who moved it here from its original location at 35912 12 Mile Rd. on June 27, 1991 to renovate it into office space. The home was still owned by descendants of Hamilton Jones at the time.
