Inscription. The Rouge Complex, hailed as the "icon of twentieth century manufacturing" was the realization of Henry Ford's innovative vision of vertical integration... "A continuous, nonstop process from raw material to finished product with no pause even for warehousing or storage.” The Rouge was the only place on earth where you could see the entire auto making process in one place... Where raw materials went in one end and a vehicle drove out the other.
