1. An Automobile at the Cigar Store Marker
Inscription.  In the years leading up to Prohibition, more than a dozen local shops sold cigars and tobacco. In 1917, Billings claimed five cigar factories.
When Prohibition outlawed alcohol and shut down saloons, it indirectly undercut the tobacco industry which greatly relied on tavern sales.
