1. Replica Race Point Surfboat Marker
Inscription. The Race Point Surfboat was used by the United States Life-Saving Service as one of three methods of rescue. Each station was equipped with two surfboats. This 24'6" replica of a Race Point surfboat was constructed by the Norfolk School of Boatbuilding in 1991 through a grant from the Commonwealth of Virginia.
