1. Lemmel Lighthouse Marker
Inscription. The power for the light was provided from a home on the southwest corner of the lake. In 1958 the home was purchased by Earl and Eleanor Lemmel. The couple assumed responsibility for the electric bill and vowed to maintain it as long as they lived there. They spent the rest of their days there and maintained the lighthouse until Eleanor's passing in 2005. Earl Lemmel had died in 2001. In 2006 the village moved the electric connection and voted to name the lighthouse "Lemmel Lighthouse” in their honor.
