The Wakerobin
— Chilo: Living and Working with the Ohio River —
The Wakerobin was built in 1926-for the US Lighthouse Service, which became the Coast Guard.
Most recently the Wakerobin was known as the USS Nightmare, a haunted Halloween attraction in Covington, KY. The boat sank at Hebron, KY in February 2005. The steam engines were salvaged and brought here to be displayed.
The Park District is currently working with the Sons and Daughters of Pioneer Rivermen to restore and paint these engines as an outdoor exhibit in the park.
Erected by Clermont County Park District.
