1. The Church - "New Brick" Marker

Inscription. The Church Unity Presbyterian Church, "Mother Presbyterian Church of Greene County, Pennsylvania" was organized August 27, 1814 at home of David Gray under direction of Reverend John Anderson and Reverend Joseph Stevenson, appointed by Presbytery of Washington, Pa. Elders selected and ordained were Francis Braddock, David Gray, Moses Dinsmore and Jacob Rickey. The original place of worship was a log school house which stood at edge of Braddock's Cemetery circa 1 mile N.W. of this village. The present building was constructed in 1879, dedicated in 1880. A Beloved Old Pastor, Jacob Ruble D.D., Minister during 1894-1909, gave the address at 100th Anniversary Services August 1914.

"New Brick" The brick house standing directly North was constructed circa 1892-93 by Henry Jacobs and his wife Rebecca Henry Jacobs. Bricks were fired in a kiln on hillside across the brook. The building was intended for a Hotel but as "The Old Drove Road" was less travelled by stock drivers, the house became a residence. John Barclay Orndorff, nephew-in-law of the builder, purchased the property in 1915, lived there with his family until his
