1. 2 North Washington Street Marker
Inscription. J.H. Hoffmann constructed this Queen Anne designed structure in 1892. The exterior is the classic example of the 'corner drug store'. The business is one of the oldest continuous operating pharmacies in the state of Ohio. Purchased in 1916 By UK Schwieterman, continued in 1945 after his death By his wife, Corinne, and in 1954, their son, David Schwieterman incorporated the pharmacy. It is the oldest retail establishment in New Bremen.
