Greetings from Glen Carbon, Ill.

View of Glen Carbon from the west before 1910 (no Village Hall). Street in center is Sunset with First Methodist Church.

1918 World War I - Left to right: ?, Mildred Neutzling, Mayme Pizinni - Main Street in front of Mamie Wieduwiltz (now Takes residence), west end of Schroeders building (now gone)

1942 World War II - Blood bank was maintained at Glen Carbon School - These are volunteers and nurses who administered the bank

Old shale pit

First grade class prior to 1914 - Brick building on left was replaced in 1914. Wooden building on right taken down in 1950's, and one room school house in background moved to main street and used as store at the corner of School and Main Street.
