1. Battery A 1st Michigan Light Artillery Marker
Inscription. This gun replicates one of six making Battery A 1st Michigan light Artillery and known as the famous Loomis Battery. The battery did service in the War of the Rebellion from early 1861 to 1865 and was engaged in action at Elkwater and Greenbriar, WVa, Bowling Green and Perryville Ky: Bridgeport, Gunthers Landing, Athens and Whitesboro Ala: Stone River and Hoovers Gap, Tenn: Chickamauga Lookout Mountain and Mission Ridge.
