1. July 4th Celebration Marker
Inscription. July 4, 1794, Col. William Price, veteran of the Revolutionary War, held one of the first celebrations of Independence Day west of the Alleghenies. At his plantation, 40 veterans dined to commemorate the glorious birthday of our freedom.
 
Erected 2008 by Kentucky Historical Society and Kentucky Department of Highways. (Marker Number 201.)
