1. Albemarle County Court House Marker
Inscription. Originally served as the court house and town's public building. Thomas Jefferson referred to it as the "common temple" and was accustomed to attend church services here. The south addition with columns was added after the Civil War. Remodelled and restored, 1938 and 1963
 
Erected 1963 by Board of County Supervisors.
