Inscription.

This memorial walkway was established in 1997 as a part of the master landscape plan of the College Station cemetery. It provides patrons an opportunity to honor loved ones while benefiting the cemetery endowment fund, which was created to insure the maintenance and support of the cemetery in future years.

Installation of the walkway was made possible by a gift from Mrs. Elsie Patranella Sauer. The adjacent plaque was originally located on the grounds of the first A&M Consolidated School on Holik Street and relocated here as a part of Mrs. Sauer's gift. After Mr. Patranella's death in 1946, his many friends wished to recognize him as a civic minded and well loved citizen of College Station. The Luke Patranella Memorial Center was made possible through donations, and was dedicated in 1949.

Erected 1997.
