1. Friars Point United Methodist Church Marker
Inscription. The Friars Point Methodist Church congregation was organized in 1836 under a nearby brush arbor. The original log church, on this site, was burned by Union troops during the Civil War. A second structure was destroyed by a tornado. The present church was built ca. 1916.
