Inscription.

The sculpture is a statement of the relationship of the sides of the right triangle by Pythagoras of Samos and the pursuit of squaring the circle by Archimedes of Syracuse.

The arc moves upward, drawing attention to the vertical dimension and to the loving Creator, God, whose wisdom and grace have animated scientists and engineers to place the first man on the moon and will continue to inspire future visionaries to pursue the challenge and exploration of endless space.

The symbols on the three segments represent the Hopeman School of Science, Engineering and Mathematics at Grove City College.
