1. Built 1889 Marker
Inscription. One of the city's earliest saloons operated from a log cabin on this lot. This brick building was erected by Smith Morgan Alexander for the First Home Bank, which occupied the corner section until 1902. The office of V. R. Williams, one of the earliest local insurance firms, was here for forty years. John T. Hall's photography studio, here for thirty-eight years, was followed by real estate firms.
