Inscription. A tailor shop was on this site in 1827. This building, constructed by Ellis Days for $4,000, was occupied between 1903 and 2003 by Wood Variety Store and furniture companies with the familiar names Haynes, Herrin & Steed, Steed-Leonard, Rollins & Levan, and Hall.
