Inscription. In 1929, Leon and Rivers McDowell purchased this residential property, known as the Coleman Place, on which they later constructed this two-sectioned building. The entire building was leased by the Home Store, Winchester's first grocery supermarket, until 1961, when a cafè and men's shops located here. A wide variety of businesses have filled the sections since then.
