1. Built 1906 Marker
Inscription. This building was labeled the Embrey block for its builder, T. A. Embrey. The stamped metal faηade adorning the upper story reflects the Victorian era of commercial architecture. The law office of Embrey and Stewart was upstairs in 1917, with Taylor's Hardware downstairs in the 1920s. Popular 5 and 10 cent stores held this spot from 1938 to 1982.
