Inscription. Thomas J. Scott, a Winchester contractor, constructed this building for his warehouse. From 1926 until 1965, The Winchester Chronicle newspaper, founded by Mr. and Mrs. David L. Lynch, leased the left side. Grant's used furniture business then opened here and eventually occupied all of the buildings in the row, through which customers could walk via openings cut into the walls between them. Wade B. Anderton purchased this property in 1993 and leased it to a variety of shop owners before moving his art and antique restoration studio here in 2004.
