Inscription.  The original survey provided that the Canal should divide at this point, one arm continuing to Second Street (never completed), the other following Fifth Street to the small basin located where the old court house now stands.

Marker is at the intersection of Mulberry Street and Southeast 6th Street, on the left when traveling east on Mulberry Street. marker is VERY difficult to find marker is in the parking lot of the Vanderburgh County Health Department in center of block enclosed by Mulberry, Cherry, 4th, 6th Streets.
