1. Mansion Marker
Inscription. The Georgian-style mansion was built for Washington social figures Helen and Henry Parsons Erwin in 1926. In 1955, Marjorie Post purchased the estate, at the time known as Arbremont, and renamed it Hillwood. From 1955 to 1957, Post renovated and expanded the main house.
 
Erected by Hillwood Estate Museum & Gardens.
