Inscription. Founded 1975 in a renovated store by people of Lincoln County. First in nation to be federally designated as rural health clinic under PL 95-210. Hailed as model care provider, successfully building on community support, dedicated staff and Marshall University School of Medicine. Honored in 1991 by National Rural Health Association as nation’s outstanding rural health practice
