Inscription. Built - 1925, Renaissance Revival style. Declared November 15, 1972, Historic-Cultural Monument No. 274 by the City of Los Angeles, Cultural Heritage Commission, Cultural Affairs Department.

Regarding Northeast Police Station. The Highland Park Police Station closed in 1983 when the Los Angeles Police Department moved its Northeast Division to a new location. This location is now the Los Angeles Police Museum, with displays of photographs, uniforms, squad cars, and bullet-riddled vehicles from the 1997 North Hollywood Bank Shootout. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
