1. Historic Fittings Marker
There are two identical markers across the 1842 locks from each other.
Inscription. These cast iron lock gate fittings from 1842 stand as reminders of the location of the five locks that moved boats from Buffalo to points east. Those eastbound locks were removed during the canal enlargement.
 
Erected by New York Canals.
