1. Hillsboro Methodist Church Marker
Inscription. The Hillsboro Methodist Church was established in 1836 about the same time Hillsboro became the Scott County seat. The original church building was located on a one~acre lot within the present~day cemetery and served as both a church and Masonic Lodge. The cemetery existed before the first church building was erected. The current church building was constructed in 1928. The church and cemetery was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.
