Inscription. The Boxwood Alumnae House was built on Elijah Road in 1920 as an Inn for guests on campus. Converted into a small dormitory in the nineteen sixties in response to increased enrollment at the College, it was later renovated through the kind generosity of an anonymous alumna to be the headquarters of the Alumnae Association in 1993. The Alumnae Association of Sweet Briar College has created this plaque in celebration of the College's Centennial Year of 2001, and in recognition and honor of the Association's home and its loyal membership.

Erected 2001 by The Alumnae Association of Sweet Briar College.
