Inscription. This reservation was secured through the efforts of R.B. Dameron, David Walker and Ruth H. Early in 1905 from Campbell County School Trustees for the O.D. Chapter which in 1920 placed it in the charge of Fort Hill Club for Preservation.
 
Erected by Old Dominion Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy.
