1. The Notorious Bonnie & Clyde Marker
Inscription.

The notorious Bonnie & Clyde had several ties to Gladewater during the years of their crime spree. Bonnie's brother & sister-in-law, Hubert "Buster" & Edith Parker, lived in Gladewater at the time. Edith Parker introduced the two "love-birds" to each other, as Clyde was a friend of her brother, Clarence. On March 29, 1934, Clyde Barrow, along with Henry Methvin and Joe Palmer came to Gladewater to exact revenge on a furloughed prisoner from Eastham Prison Farm, Wade McNabb, with whom Palmer had difficulties. McNabb & his brother were at a domino parlor in town when McNabb stepped outside, never to be seen alive again.
