1. Mayer Plaza Marker
Inscription.
Built circa 1915 by Joseph Mayer, Seattle clockmaker and jeweler, this clock uniquely features eight dials. Seattle, once known as the City of Clocks, boasted dozens of these grand clocks around the city, but today few remain. This clock is one of the only three surviving 8-dial clocks built by Mayer.

Restored in 2017 by Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc.

The clock has stood at this spot continuously since 1939, except for its removal in 2015 for restoration while the area was being redeveloped. It was reinstalled in 2017.
