1. Paul J. Costello Memorial Bocce Court Marker
Inscription. Established the first outdoor bocce court in Bayonne and was the first president of the Summer Outdoor Bocce League, sponsored by the City of Bayonne. Paul's ability to communicate with people was instrumental throughout his long and distinguished community service that spanned over six decades. He was a founding member of the 50/50 Club a social and athlete club constructed by veterans after World War II on a Zabriskie Avenue. He was also an umpire for various city softball and baseball leagues for over 50 years. His motto was "it's all about the kids" something he lived every day of his life.
