Did you know?
Honeylocusts have long, compound leaves with many tiny leaflets and very long seed pods dotted with shiny brown seeds. Many of the honeylocusts around Fort Greene Park's perimeter were planted when the park was redesigned in 1971. This thornless variety makes an excellent street because of its tolerance for drought, salt runoff, and pollution.
