Did you know?
American elms are beautiful, shapely trees, with large arching limbs. The American elm was once one of the most iconic trees along American streets until populations nationwide were decimated by Dutch elm disease. New American elms like this one are disease-resistant, cultivated to help restore populations. In April, the tree grows tiny, haired fruits called samara.
