1. Osborne Bell Marker
Inscription. Elected Sheriff of Marshall County in 1979. Osborne Bell was loved by many and is remembered for his friendliness and fairness to all. His political career began in 1967, when he was elected and served three terms as County Coroner (1967-1979). The first elected Black sheriff of Marshall County, Osborne Bell lost his life on May 7, 1986 in the line of duty.
