Acueducto
El acueducto de Morelia es una obra hidráulica de extraordinario valor arquitectónico, cuya carga histórica y social sólo es superada por la Catedral de la Ciudad. Aún a principios del siglo XX cumplió con su función de abastecer de agua a la población, a través de una red de atarjea que superaba los 6.8 kilómetros de los que aún existe testimonio y 10 kilómetros aproximadamente hasta los manantiales de San Miguel del Monte, ubicados al sureste de la Ciudad.

El periodo de construcción de esta monumental obra se sitúa entre 1785 y 1789, gracias al financiamiento del obispo Fray Antonio de San Miguel. El monumento fue construido como el resto de las obras de la Ciudad con cantera rosa. Los pilares, los arcos y el canal o atarjea son de sillares de cantería. Los 253 arcos visibles son de medio punto, no presentan molduras, varian en su diametro y se extienden por cerca de 1,800 metros.

6.8 kilometers of which there is testimony, and 10 km approximately to the springs of San Miguel de el Monte, located to the southeast of the city.

The construction period of this monumental work is situated between 1785 and 1789, thanks to the financing of the bishop Fray Antonio de San Miguel. The monument was built like the rest of the works of the city, with pink quarry. The pillars, the arches and the sewage pipe are on ashlar. The 253 visible arches are semicircular, have no moldings, vary in diameter and extend for about 1,800 meters.
