1. How old is this tree? Marker
Inscription. A very slow-growing tree, this Cut-Leaf Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum 'Dissectum') is more than 50 years old. The owner of a local private estate donated the tree in 1970. Originally planted at Magnolia Bend, it was moved here in 1974 to complement the Japanese-influenced design of the Visitor Center and surrounding plantings.
