1. Donna Fargo Marker
Inscription. Donna Fargo is a County Music Singer-Songwriter best known for her 1970s self-penned hist "The Happiest Girl in the Whole USA" and "Funny Face". She became the first woman in country music history to sell a million records back-to-back. After four of her singles also achieved pop success, major hits and awards followed, including a Grammy. Growing up in Mount Airy she was known as Yvonne Vaughn but changed her name in 1972 when her musical career began. Daughter of Ada and Ramey Vaughn, Donna is proud to call Mount Airy her hometown.
