Inscription.
Doctor McBath practiced medicine in the basement, and he and his family lived upstairs. After her parents’ deaths, Barbara McBath used the house as a boarding house for teachers. Today, the structure is once again home to a Doctor’s office, family eye care, and private residence.

Doctor McBath bought the house in 1922 when he moved from Eastanollee to Toccoa. After Dr. McBath died, his wife, Ella Davis McBath, stayed in the home until she died in 1947. The house was left to their daughter. When she died in 1987, the house was turned into apartments and a doctor’s office.
