Manabigama Wood Kiln
Constructed in 2010 by pottery students. Manabigama means beautiful learning kiln in Japanese. Wood fired pottery is an ancient style of firing. The kiln is available to The 577 Foundation pottery students, professional artists and students from other educational facilities.

Compost Corner
The community organic gardeners are asked to take their garden scraps to this area to be composted. Several compost bins are available for the ingredients; leaves, grass, weeds, vegetable matter, and soil. Mixed together, temperatures can rise over 100 degrees, creating a rich fertilizer to be put back into the gardens. This is a good education for the public to learn the value of composting.
