Inscription. The Connecticut River valley has a large number of dinosaur tracks preserved in sedimentary rocks. These footprints were cast from tracks at Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. The site was discovered in 1966 and has more than 2,000 preserved tracks. The large number of fossils in that area suggests it may have been a communal water hole. The fossils date from the Late Triassic and Early Jurassic periods.
